Available only at the lodge (including Bird Chalets), which opens May 8th and closes October 2nd, 2024. All dining at the White House. The White House and Bird Chalets are available for stays of any length, with no required days of arrival or departure. All other Lodge facilities are available for 3, 4, or 7 night stays, or combinations. All stays commence with dinner on arrival date and end with breakfast on departure date. Complimentary light lunches are provided for guests arriving early. To allow preparation for incoming guests, checkout will be at 10:00 a.m. on departure date. Guests may fish on arrival afternoon and until noon on departure day, when boats are to be returned for service.

European Plan - Outpost Camps & Moose Cabin

Birch Lake, Foley Bay Island, and Beauchêne Beach

If you prefer a more remote setting enjoy the tranquility and fine fishing at one of our three secluded and well maintained Outpost camps, each with it’s own unique advantages. The tranquil setting and secluded location allows you to go at your own pace and maximize your time in the outdoors.

All stays commence mid-afternoon on arrival date and end mid-morning on departure date when guests will be required to return boats and vacate camp to permit preparation for incoming guests. Our three outpost camps offer our guests who prefer to do their own cooking the opportunity to enjoy Beauchene in a choice of comfortable cabins in secluded settings.

These three outpost camps are perfect for those who would rather cook their own food and enjoy a more secluded location. Rates include :

• Accommodation
• Propane fuel and stove wood
• One boat and outboard motor for each 2 guests (other than children)
• All required gasoline
• Floatation vests, boat cushions, landing nets
• Full fishing rights in all Beauchene lakes (reservations required in some lakes) and grouse shooting in season.
• Provincial licenses and transportation to other lakes and electric not included. If required, for round trip transportation by road from lodge to Birch Lake Camp and return in Lodge vehicle, add $80.00.

Booking and payments

All amounts in Canadian funds. Until reserved, rates subject to change without notice.

Payments :
A 30 % deposit is required to confirm reservation. Deposit is non-refundable, but can be applied to a future trip within one year. Once confirmation of total in party and number of days is made, along with deposit, final payment will be based on original number in party and number of days, unless management is notified 60 days prior to the reservation date. If deposit is not received by due date as stated on confirmation, reservation will be cancelled without notice. Final payment is payable 30 days prior to arrival and is not refundable. We accept cash, certified cheques, Visa, Mastercard and Am Ex.

NOTE: Accommodation tax and 5% G.S.T. (Canadian Goods & Services Tax) must be added to all payments. 9.975% Quebec sales tax must also be added. All rates in Canadian dollars and exclusive of gratuities. Provincial hunting and fishing licenses are required and are available at Main Lodge. (2023 Season non-resident fishing license: $88.39, 7 days / $53.59, 3 days / $35.64.

Hunting

American Plan Moose Hunt

Moose hunting during first 2 weeks of season available for American Plan Guests at Lodge or Bird Cabins by prearrangement. Rates, same as fishing (does not include your gun, your Quebec hunting permit and success bonus).

European Plan Moose Hunt

Birch Lake, Foley Bay Island and Beauchene Beach Outpost Camps and Moose Cabin.

Camping, canoe trips and rentals

Please note: Camping is permitted ONLY at the Bear Bay Campground, which opens May 8th and closes September 14th, 2024. Five rustic campsites (no hook-ups) are available. Picnic table at each site and amenities include: central bathhouse and shower with hot and cold water, flush toilet, fish cleaning house and dock.

Campsite reservations may be required. Fishing in back lakes is by reservation only.

• A lunch experience to savour, Beauchêne’s legendary shore-lunch will truly be a meal to remember. Whether prepared by an experienced guide or by you and your guests it is always a special event. It is rare to taste fish this fresh cooked on an open flame and it will be a frequent topic of conversion on return to the real world.

• Let us help you create your own unique adventure. Lead your team on a canoe or kayak trip on our “around the world” canoe route, exploring a variety of Beauchêne’s lakes and short portages.

• Take a hike on one of the well marked trails and enjoy being surrounded by nature while learning to navigate with a compass or GPS unit. Take this opportunity to observe the wildlife of North Western Quebec, where many species of birds call the area home.

• Go for a bike ride and investigate for miles on dirt road and wooded trails without the worry of traffic. Beauchêne offers the use of the resort mountain bikes but you are welcome to bring your own.
• A simple afternoon at one of the secluded beaches could prove to be the most productive.

• Keeping in touch with the outside world is a neccessity in today’s business world. We are equipped with internet access, satellite television, fax and copy services, telephone and some cell phone coverage.

• For evening entertainment the licensed lounge located in The White House offers a casual atmosphere with a billiard and card tables.The lounge also features a beautiful handcrafted granite fire place; keep cozy and relax.

• Share a drink and the day’s events with others.
