Weather

Beauchêne weather is typical of our latitude in the Canadian Shield. It could range from an unexpected light snow in early May (although that is not usual) to very warm, especially on the water, in July (or sooner) to cold at night in August and hot again in September. Lac Beauchêne is a deep lake and so it stores up cold in the winter but warmth in summer. Even when it is warm on shore you may find it cool once you are on the water. Thunderstorms do happen but pass quickly. The "Beauchêne Weather Station" is maintained daily on the diningroom wall to tell you what to expect and help you dress accordingly.
